Design Brief

New start-up and independent opticians Aston & Woods, wanted to create an optical business at the forefront of clinical expertise, whilst establishing a contemporary fashion destination for exclusive and stylish frames. 

By securing a prime and central London location, Tottenham Court Road, the customer attraction strategy hinged on passing footfall. Meaning, the physical environment had a crucial role in the launch and immediate success of the new practice. 

Our Approach

The planning phase involved Retail Experience Design working closely with Aston & Woods to identify their style aspiration, whilst the new brand required development to successfully translate into the physical environment. 

With a fashion-inspired design brief, creative consideration was given to the overall design, as well as the materials and finishes to create a connection with fashion-conscious consumers. Yet, careful attention was applied to dispensing due to the potential diversity of patients visiting the practice.

What we delivered

Retail Experience Design created a contemporary and stylish space that worked hard to deliver a customer experience unique to Aston & Woods. The inspiring space included a multiple and varied approach to dispensing, including the creation of a ‘style suite’ to provide customers with a tailored and personal service to suit their needs.

Aston & Woods have swiftly become recognised and regarded as one of the UK’s leading optical practices. Retail Experience Design is immensely proud to have supported Aston & Woods in the launch of their new practice with inspiring space and interior design.
