Retail & Showroom

The Challenge

HOYA needed a space that could do it all – a showroom to display their innovative products, training rooms for learning and development, and a versatile environment that reflected their commitment to excellence in eyecare. But their existing space wasn’t working. It was uninspiring, inflexible, and failed to deliver the rich experience their brand deserved.

At the same time, Seiko Vision was relocating their lens production to Wrexham to improve delivery times for UK customers, support sustainability goals, and launch their new training and support academy. This created a unique challenge: two distinct brands needing to share customer spaces without overshadowing each other.

What we did

We completely reimagined HOYA’s customer environment, transforming it into a modern, multi-functional space that aligned with their brand values and operational needs.

Showroom & customer spaces: The showroom was redesigned to showcase HOYA’s products interactively, while reconfigured reception and breakout areas improved flow and created a welcoming, premium experience.

Meeting & training rooms: Bespoke meeting and training spaces featured integrated storage, flexible layouts, and branded elements, combining functionality with style.

Brand integration: Design features enriched the customer experience and reinforced HOYA’s global presence. Thoughtful use of brand colors, graphics, and signage tied the space together.

Sustainability: Existing full-height glass panels were repurposed with crittall-style glazing and frosted branding, reducing waste and adding bold, contemporary elements.

Balancing HOYA & Seiko: Shared spaces, such as the reception and customer lounge, were carefully designed to give equal prominence to both brands to create a cohesive yet dual-branded environment that felt balanced and professional.

The space is now a state-of-the-art, multi-functional environment that enhances how HOYA showcases products, trains clients, and engages with customers. The integration of SEIKO into shared spaces ensured a cohesive, professional setting that respects and reflects both brands.

Working with RED on the interior design for Hoya UK in 2024 was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
