The Challenge
We’re happy applying our interior design expertise to help solve specific problems or taking care of the whole design and build process. The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum is a perfect example of how we can help with individual design and spatial issues.
What we did
Our original brief for The Herbert was quite specific – to survey the gallery spaces and provide space planning for exhibitions.
From there on we were asked to develop The Herberts wayfinding, external signage, and the application of graphics.
Soon after, we supported with the relocation of the existing retail space. However, during this process, we identified that the current merchandising system was inadequate and likely to have a bearing on sales. As a result, we completed a redesign of the shop as well as the relocation.
Finally, we were brought back in to develop The Herbert welcome area and the design and manufacture of bespoke furniture.
